I am so sorry that I haven't posted anything for over a week. Like I said this site is supposed to help me to balance school, work, and health, and for a little bit there I was unbalanced and ignored the health aspect. I got caught up in midterms (already!) and then work as well. However I felt bad about not getting back to this site even if I don't have any followers yet, which I think helped to get me back on the right track.

I woke up this morning and had a Pumpkin Spice Protein shake and then went on a run before work! It felt good to get back into a habit. They say it takes 21 days to make a habit, and I am going to try my hardest to run every morning and make sure to eat healthy meals for the next 21 days. I think it will help to say I just need to make it until day 21, but hopefully by that point it will become natural to me. Anyways, here's my recipe for my Pumpkin Spice Protein shake. :)
Ingredients:
Agave Nectar
Pumpkin Pure
Allspice
Nutmeg
Pumpkin Pie Spice (if you have it, which I didn't)
Vanilla or Plain Greek Yogurt
Vanilla Protein Powder
Healthy Meal (optional)
I use the Herbalife Healthy meal to make sure that I am getting enough nutrients every day, but it is not needed for this shake.

The first step is to put about 1/2 a cup of water into your blender, you can add more or less depending on if you want it to taste strongly or if you want to water it down a little more. Next, add all of the dry ingredients; the spices, protein powder and healthy meal (if you're using it).
Next, add about a half a cup of ice, again you can alter this to your liking, personally I like it with a lot of ice because its more like a smoothie then. Put in about 2-3 tablespoons of the yogurt, and about a tablespoon of agave nectar. Finally, blend until everything is mixed well and enjoy!
